Breakfast was included at the hotel so we took enough to lunch and drove down Topanga Canyon to Malibu.

I had read El Matador beach was worth a visit so we parked for free on the road (It's $8 in the car park) and made the climb down onto the beach settling into a reasonably quiet cove soaking up the last of the sun with not many days left in California.

After seeing a number of incredible Instagrams from the Kardashians of the sunset from Nobu we went for an early supper.

However being a rather last minute idea we would have had to have waited 2 hours for a table.

I made the executive desicion to leave it and go elsewhere later finding out Kylie Jenner was there at the same time as me, with her whole family celebrating her 17th birthday!!

How did I miss that?!

Instead we went to Malibu Seafood which is rightly rated the best (now 2nd best I believe :( ) restaurant in Malibu by TripAdvisor.

(My heaven face!)

It was much more casual, so much cheaper and the salads and scallops were unreal. It is SO worth the wait so PLEASE don't be put off by the queues!

On the way back we stopped to watch the sunset and then pausing to awe at the Super Moon.

Where did you guys get to see the Super Moon? It was pretty special so let me know.
