Gramercy and Flatiron are up there with my favourite neighbourhoods in New York because they are a little flatter and prettier and less busy.
I really wanted to see the private Gramercy Park where only residents (oh, to be one of those residents!) get a key. It looked just as beautiful as I imagined and there was a large variety of people hanging out there. It is also surrounded by some of the most beautiful and picturesque buildings in the city.
As for Flatiron, the building itself was even more cool in the flesh and the area around it was full of cool shops and cafes.
I hear Argo Tea in the Flatiron building is the perfect place for a refreshing pick me up. Unfortunately I didn't get to try it out but you can buy bottles in some grocery stores and it was very yummy - I'll just have to go back for it ;)
